ER - WARNER BROS. |
The wait is over. Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution has struck a deal with Hulu to bring the NBC massive hit drama ER to streaming. This is the first time the show has been made available on a streaming service since it left the airways in 2009 after 15 seasons and 330 episodes. Created by Michael Crichton and helmed by John Wells, the medical drama debuted in 1994 and would become a tentpole in the 90's golden age of NBC. ER redefined a genre and its influence can be felt today all over the current tv landscape. The show made stars of its cast including Juliana Margulies, Anthony Edwards, Noah Wiley and Eriq LaSalle. The most notable being megastar George Clooney, who said of the news in a Hulu press release,
“It was such an honor to be a part of this show. I was lucky to have worked with so many writers, actors and directors all at the top of their game. Most importantly I’ve made friends for a lifetime. I’m excited it will finally be streaming on Hulu.” The show is available on Hulu today.
